Peace Guardians are mediators and protectors (2 skill sets, some stronger in one than the other)
If going out into the community they are sent out in twos (having one female can often bring calming element)
Members of each community can become Peace guardians.
Role of a Peace Guardian to maintain Peace and Order and protect mankind and their property and the resources that are needed to sustain life.
Each member that steps into role of Peace Guardian must agree to the principles for personal accountability for their conduct.
Each community will appoint a head guardian who is responsible to train and oversee that the other appointed guardians behave in a respectful manner only using force if required for safety.
Each guardian agrees to use communication and conflict resolution as the first line of defence to resolve issues in a peaceful manner.
Where there is a potential threat the aim is to isolate either the threat, or the threatened, by restraint or separation.
Where there is a perceived immediate threat to cause harm, a guardian has the lawful right to use reasonable force to remove all threats.
A guardian can be removed from this role if he/she causes harm or abuses the power and authority, and will be held to account for his/her actions to the head guardian and to the community.
