Rural communities have been suffering for many years. Many small communities use to have a general store, hall, fire station, petrol station with workshop to support the local farmers. How about an effort to fix-up or rebuild. Along with some new houses for them to thrive again. Maybe getting teams of workers (in tents or temp accom) to restore these communities one after another. Hence will encourage more farmers out into these remote areas.
Hemp construction blocks could be a simple answer to quick builds. Farmers grow some hemp, way faster growing than pine & if nearby to construct reduces shipping etc.. mix in lime to make intelocking shaped blocks. The construction blocks are insulation, sound proofing and fire resistant too. They can be reused or broken down to use as fertilizer (environmentally friendly 🙂
